Theiss seventh with American Crate Late Model Series at Cotton Bowl Speedway

Austin Theiss kicked off a doubleheader weekend of racing on Friday afternoon at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Oktaha, Okla.) with the POWRi Revival Dirt Late Model Series.

Stopping the clock 13th-quickest out of 20 Late Models, Theiss finished runner-up in his heat race which earned him a fifth-row starting position. With a $2,000 payday on the line, Austin pulled off on lap 9 which resulted in a DNF.

Switching gears to race with the American Crate Late Model Series at Cotton Bowl Speedway (Paige, Texas) on Saturday afternoon.

Setting the bar in qualifying, Austin started third in the 30-lap main event and brought home a seventh-place finish.
