Theiss races at Boothill Speedway for Ronny Adams Memorial
Austin Theiss made his first Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) start of the season at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) as the series kicked off the 2023 campaign with the fourth annual Ronny Adams Memorial.
With 41 Late Models on the property, Theiss laid down the seventh-fastest lap in qualifying but contact with the wall in his heat race dropped him to the pit area on the seventh circuit. With one more shot to make Friday's $5,000 feature in his consolation race, Austin was caught up in another incident ending his night early.
On Saturday, Theiss was unable to crack the A-Main field after a sixth-place finish in his B-Main.
