Austin Theiss tackles Duel in the Desert at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas

Unveiling a new wrap for the special weekend in Las Vegas, Austin Theiss made the long haul to The Dirt Track at Las Vegas (Nev.) on Wednesday afternoon for the Duel in the Desert.

Following practice on Wednesday, Theiss kicked off the week with a fourth-place finish in the heat and a fifth-place outing in the feature.

For Friday's show, Austin finished runner-up in his heat before fading to fourth in the second main event of the weekend.

Wrapping up the special event on Saturday, Theiss started the $3,777-to-win event from the front row and wound up fourth when the checkered flag flew.
