Austin Theiss scores first feature victory of 2023 at I-37 Speedway

Austin Theiss raced to his first win of the 2023 season on Saturday night at Texas’ I-37 Speedway aboard his LT Munitions #7D Saye Plumbing Contractors/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Late Model.

On a night that also featured a make-up feature from June 3, Theiss added a second-place finish.

“What a night! I ended up second in the make-up feature from a few weeks ago, and we picked up a win in the second feature,” Theiss shared. “It was an awesome night, and I’m already looking forward to the next one. Much love to my people that do this with me.”

On Saturday evening, Austin Theiss made the trek to I-37 Speedway (Pleasanton, Texas) for a June 3 make-up feature and to compete in the Schweaty Balls Night event.

For the make-up feature, Theiss lined up on the pole and ran second to Ryan Doyon in the 20-lap main event.

With 19 Late Models taking the green flag in the second feature of the night, Austin lined up on the front row and led every lap to collect his first victory of the season. Theiss pocketed $750 for his efforts in the 20-lap event. He topped Scooter Manchester, Ryan Doyon, Robbie Starnes, and Brandon Brzozowski who completed the Top-5.

Austin is slated to return to action this Saturday at Kennedale (Texas) Speedway Park with the American Crate Late Model Series.
