Theiss notches Top-10 finish at Route 66

The 2022 season got underway for Austin Theiss on Friday afternoon at West Texas Raceway (Lubbock, Texas) for the event co-sanctioned by the Southern Touring Late Model Series and the Sooner Late Model Series.

After starting the night off with a heat race victory, Theiss was an early retiree from the 30-lap feature with 10 circuits remaining.

The following night at Route 66 Motor Speedway (Amarillo, Texas), Austin jumped up two spots in his heat to pick up the win. Hanging onto a Top-10 finish in the feature, Theiss recorded a 10th-place outing.
