Austin Theiss finds victory lane with American Crate Late Model Series at Texana Raceway
Returning to the track after a month off, Austin Theiss was back in action on Friday afternoon with the American Crate Late Model Series at Texana Raceway (Edna, Texas).
Stopping the clock fifth-quickest out of 17 Late Models, Theiss picked up the victory in his heat race which earned him the outside pole for the A-Main. In the 20-lap main event, Austin outran Beau Begnaud and Jared Maupin for his second victory of the season.
Hoping for another strong performance on Saturday, Theiss made the haul to I-37 Speedway (Pleasanton, Texas). Starting the 20-lap main event from the second-row, Austin finished just off the podium in fourth.
